This is my really first time having or posting on a blog, and i'm both nervous and excited about this new experience. The world is a large place, where certain events occur with a god given wish. Such as, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, landslides or hurricanes. What is the differences between natural hazards, disaster, and catastrophe. First of all, natural hazards is the process or event that is a potential threat to human life and property. Secondly, a disaster is a hazardous event that occurs over limited time span within the area and that causes great damage or also loss of life. Finally, a catastrophe is a massive disaster that requires  significant expenditure amount of money and most likely years to recover. An example in the city of New Orleans hurricane Katrina flooded the city in 2005 and most damaging and costly catastrophe in history.
The textbook did help me find my research titled Natural Hazards by Keller
